IDF soldier Gilad Shalit is scheduled to be released by Hamas terrorists in exchange for Israel to release "Palestinian" terrorists from Israeli jails. The Israeli Cabinet has voted to accept such a deal with Hamas terrorists.
Hamas has kidnapped Gilad Shalit back in 2006. That means that he's been Hamas' hostage for five years. Israel has been looking for a deal to release Shalit, even begging Hamas to do a prisoner swap, where Shalit would be released in exchange for tons of mass murdering terrorists held in Israeli jails. Finally, Israel and Hamas has released a deal on Shalit's release.
According to Arutz Sheva [Israel National News], a Senior Security official with the IDF has stated that the deal would be dangerous. He said,“As part of the deal we will be releasing 1,000 murderers in exchange for one soldier who is very important and dear to us. But we must remember that many soldiers were sent and made substantial efforts – some of which resulted in the spilling of the blood of our soldiers – to get those murderers behind bars.”
Some in Israel are not happy to see a bunch of terrorists released as part of the deal. But on the flip side, Gilad Shalit is finally going to come home after all those years.
